About Me
My journey began at a young age. I was introduced to the personal computer by a modern wizard named John. John showed me interesting contraptions, or at least what was considered a contraption to a bewildered child at the time. One of which, I recall, being a wooden foot pedal which modified the audio signal from an electric guitar patched into an amplifier. Amazed by the demonstration of this magical device, I attempted to create one of my own.
After failing miserably, I looked to other means to satisfy this new found desire for construction. I really enjoyed piecing together Matchcraft kits, and plastic scale models.
When my family purchased our first computer, my obsession became digitized. I started modifying batch files, teaching myself scripting, adding a boot menu to DOS with selections to start certain programs after loading specific configurations, and experimenting with automation of maintenance tasks. No more stinky and messy modelling glue, yet tons of fun.
